In 2025, EMUCU is teaming up with the Children's Literacy Network during the holiday season to provide an opportunity for EMUCU members to show their local pride by shopping and dining for a good cause.
From November 18 through January 31, 2026 every time our members make a purchase with their EMUCU Visa® Platinum Optimum credit card, Visa® Cash Rewards credit card, or their EMUCU debit card at a local participating store, restaurant, or business, EMUCU matches 1% of the total sales, (up to a grand total of $5,000) and donates it to the Children's Literacy Network*

As an added bonus, EMUCU is giving away $1,000 to 5 lucky members who make a purchase with their card at participating businesses during the campaign period. All you have to do is shop locally at one of the participating businesses, and you're automatically entered for a chance to win!*

*A charitable donation of 1% applied during the promotional period of November 18, 2025 until January 31, 2026, for merchandise purchased at participating vendors. This promotion applies for EMUCU Visa® Optimum, Visa® Platinum Cash Rewards cards, and EMUCU debit cards only. For each qualifying transaction, the Eastern Michigan University Credit Union applies 1% to the total sale, and will present the Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative with a one-time payment of the sum of those qualifying transactions, up to a total amount of $5,000, after the promotional period expires. Additionally, each qualifying transaction automatically enters the credit card holder into a giveaway to win a grand prize of $1,000. (5 grand prize winners total).
